Autophoto is an analog photo booth located in New York, NY, United States. A museum dedicated to photo booths that opened on Oct. 11, 2025. The museum combines seven working analog booths with an archival collection of rare prints, ephemera and equipment, including the original camera used by inventor Anatol Josepho, who debuted the first automated photo booth in Manhattan a century ago. Located near the Tenement Museum and International Center of Photography. Has attracted lines around the block since opening. Booths span decades and styles including a wide-format machine, an MTV 'Total Request Live' booth, a Polaroid booth, and early digital-to-print hybrids. Features the 1940s-era 'Model 9' which was the first commercial photo booth to use the 'dip and dunk' chemical process. Also displays Josepho's original camera mechanism from 1925. Visitors can get a map of working analog photo booths around the city and a 'passport' to collect stamps when visiting locations.

The cost to use Autophoto is $8 per photo strip. This booth accepts cash only.
