How to scan vintage photo booth strips?

For archival preservation, place clean photo booth strips directly onto the glass bed of a flatbed optical scanner. Scan at 1200 DPI (or 600 DPI minimum for web sharing) in 16-bit grayscale for black-and-white prints, or 48-bit RGB for color strips. Save the uncompressed master file as a TIFF (.tif) before creating smaller WebP or JPEG copies for sharing.
